It doesnt even matter if the voice fits the character…it matters if the VA can act and transform themselves into the character.

Bart Simpson is voiced by a fairly old lady
Dexter (from Dexter’s Laboratory) is voiced by a woman
Ash Ketchum (from pokemon) had 2 female voice actresses- the latest one is also a very hot fashion model (I’ve seen the pictures).
I’m a guy, but I’ve voice acted as females before.
It’s the voice type that matters; you didn’t realize Naruto’s VA was a woman until now did you?

Theres few reasons for this.
1. Tell me which english VA can do better tsundera character than kugimiya rie and amazing VA who did lelouche from code geass?
2. u only stated 1 example. Goku. It does sound a bit strange but if it rlly doesnt match then would DB be one of the most famous anime in the world?
3.Many eng speakers watch JAP DUB ENG SUB anime then fkin shit bad eng dubed once.
Its VA which creates what characters are meant to sound like NOT characters.
